SECURING ADMISSION 

For the 2 year MBA, course admissions are via the annual CAT Examination conducted around the last week of November. 

There are 2 phases for selection which are the Shortlisting Phase and the Final Selection Phase. 

The weightage for both the phases are as follows:

Shortlisting Phase:

        CAT: 40% (14% VARC, 16% DILR & 10% QA)

        10^th Score: 20%

        12^th Score: 10%

        Graduation Score: 20%

        Work Experience: 8%

        Gender Diversity: 2%

Final Selection Phase:

        CAT: 25%

        10^th Score: 10%

        12^th Score: 5%

        Graduation Score: 10%

        Work Experience: 10%

        WAT: 10%

        PI: 30%

As we can clearly see, in both the phases Work Experience plays a vital role in the selection. Advertently it is advisable to work for 3 years that can provide a leading-edge to an aspirant for the best chance at selection, along with securing a good CAT Score.

PLACEMENTS 

Placement statistics have always been extremely respectable at IIM Bangalore. Several Companies have been regular recruiters at the campus namely BCG, Bain & Co., Accenture Strategy, Amazon, Kearney, McKinsey & Co., etc.

Median CTC for IIM Bangalore stands at 25 Lakhs, Average at 26.18 Lakhs.
