Important Dates:
The NMAT 2021 Notification hasn’t been released by GMAC (Graduate Management Admissions Council) yet, it is expected to be released in the first week of July 2021. The NMAT 2021 exam can be taken across a 75-day test taking window starting from October 2021 (Tentative) to second week of December (tentative).

Criteria
According to the NMAT notification, to be eligible for NMAT 2021 a candidate is expected to have:
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline from any recognized university with minimum of 50 % aggregate.
- Students in their final year of the bachelors can also apply for the exam.

How to approach the NMAT Exam
NMAT is an online exam of 360 marks. It consists of a
total of 120 multiple-choice questions divided into 3 sections: Language
Skills, Quantitative Skills, and Logical Reasoning. Each objective type question
carries 3 marks and there is no negative marking for wrong answers and un-attempted
questions.
The details of the
sections are as follows:
- Language Skills: 36
Q’s 28 min
- Quantitative Skills:
36 Q’s 52 min
- Logical Reasoning:
36 Q’s 40 min
Precisely there are 108 question and 120
mins.
Being a 360 marks examination, maximizing one’s score in
all the 3 sections should be the aim of aspirants with sectional cut offs being
there as well at Institutes like NMIMS Mumbai, etc.
Expected Cut-off 2020 was:
For NMAT 2020, the cut offs for NMIMS Mumbai was expected to be 248+. The sectionals for the same were expected to be 85+ for Verbal, 79+ for LR & 73+ for Quant. For the Bangalore and Hyderabad campus of NMIMS, the overall cut off was expected to be 220+ while other campuses would have been around 205+.
How should one prepare for the NMAT Exam
NMAT is a speed-based exam and here you need to be quick in your calculations and have a strong hold on Vocabulary & Grammar. Further, vocabulary can be build with the help of books like Word Power Made Easy by Norman Lewis, etc.
Moreover, quick Quantitative Skills & Logical Reasoning can also be a plus for the NMAT Examination.
